Athens and the Pelopponese

While staying in Athens, you will visit the National Museum and the Parthenon on the Acropolis. You will also take a trip out to Marathon and the Temple of Poseidon at Cape Sounion.

Then, over the next days, your air-conditioned coach takes you across the Gulf of Corinth into the Pelopponese, to visit Mycenae, Epidaurus, Sparta, Nestor's Palace at Pylos and Ancient Olympia, where a walk in the original Stadium seems to obliterate the centuries since it was in regular use.

From Olympia, you cross back onto the mainland, to visit Delphi before returning to Athens. High on the slopes of Mount Parnassus, Delphi is still somehow ethereal and detached from the world below

(If your tour is continuing to Italy by ferry, the order of visits is changed so that you finish at Patras, where you take the overnight ferry, with cabin accommodation, to Bari.)
