The build-up to War and its consequences throughout Europe may be followed in numerous destinations and it is possible to combine two or three centres to build up a picture of the period.

 

Munich

Prague

  • Josefov - the pre-War Jewish quarter

  • Lidice, the village destroyed in revenge for the assassination of Heydrich

  • Terezin, a ghetto where the Jews of Czechoslovakia were held until their transport to the east

 

 

Kraków

  • A guided walking tour of the pre-War Jewish quarter and the ghetto, including Schindler's factory.
